Nutritional feeding is at the heart of Embark Foundation, with 18 kitchens serving approximately 13 000 meals to children and the elderly daily. Ensuring the wellbeing of more than 9 600 beneficiaries during lockdown quickly became one of our key objectives.

During the past 10 months, we packed and distributed:

• 769 701 meals to communities such as: Zandspruit, Diepsloot, Tweefontein, Witbank and Palmridge, Alexandra, Kromdraai and KyaSands
• Distributed more than 14 300kg of Maize, Rice, Samp and Sugar were delivered to homeless shelters in Hillbrow
• 1 200 PPE kits for Fairland SAPS
• Essential items for Milpark Hospital – ICU unit
• Food support for Weesgerus Children’s Home
• Food support for Rosettenville Baby Home
• Food support for jobless mothers
• Essential supplies for Ons Huis Old Age Home
